So far this problem has been seen only in tests that use the 32-bit kernel, while on Jessie the same tests use the 64-bit kernel. anonym, do you see this happen in the tests from memory_erasure.feature that also use the 32-bit kernel on Jessie? If not, then please reassign to me and mark as blocked by Feature #8183.

This is what happened during a test suite run (Tails running from USB, 32-bit kernel).

Seen this one after shutting down a feature/stretch VM (that has 2GB memory) using the system menu. Line 57 is the last one of the script, so it looks like forking poweroff failed. This guess should be verified more properly within busybox shell. But I won’t bother too much until I see such failures happen with the 64-bit kernel. Running /scripts/init-top/memory_wipe again manually from the busybox shell worked.

Seen this one today on a topic branch based on Tails 2.5.

Yes, I see this frequently on Tails/Jessie-based images, both when run locally on my hardware, and on Jenkins. IMHO, let’s reject this ticket in favor of Bug #11786. Agreed?
