spriver: would you like to take this one over? The deal here is that Tails Installer cannot be installed through graphical means in Ubuntu 16.04 until we solve Feature #11569. So I had to document going through the command line. Basically, I copied the instructions from /expert/usb.

If you don’t want to take it over, reassign it to me.

Now I pushed it (sorry I forgot the other day).

I don’t have anything to change to the instructions, I’m fine with them.

However, while following them on an Ubuntu 16.04 live disc, I get the following error and cannot install the Assistant (I don’t know if I’m missing something here, I just followed the steps as described):

root@ubuntu:~# apt install tails-installer

Cool!

Oops, then there’s a mistake in my instructions. Good catch! I guess
it’s because I’m not instructing to add universe.

So I added universe to the command line instructions in /install/debian/usb and also /install/expert/usb which had probably been missing this step since the beginning.

I reviewed the changes and reproduced the workflow, everything went fine now. Instructions seem to be clear for me. (:
