Description

This breaks X.Org startup on feature/stretch in my testing environment, and in the configuration used by our automated test suite. Maybe this should make us prioritize Feature #10298 higher.

I’ve also tried the following QEMU video adapters:

  • Cirrus video, cirrus.modeset=1: X.Org fails to start
  • Cirrus video, cirrus.modeset=0: X.Org fails to start
  • VGA video: X.Org starts (using the modesetting driver)
  • VMVGA: X.Org fails to start

So as a temporary workaround, I’ve applied commit:91f2ae1 (“Test suite: use a VGA graphics adapter, instead of the QXL one”) to feature/stretch.

  • Status changed from Confirmed to Resolved
  • % Done changed from 0 to 100

feature/stretch now has the branch for Feature #10298 merged in, so closing.
