Description
This breaks X.Org startup on feature/stretch in my testing environment, and in the configuration used by our automated test suite. Maybe this should make us prioritize Feature #10298 higher.

I’ve also tried the following QEMU video adapters:
- Cirrus video,
cirrus.modeset=1
: X.Org fails to start - Cirrus video,
cirrus.modeset=0
: X.Org fails to start - VGA video: X.Org starts (using the modesetting driver)
- VMVGA: X.Org fails to start
So as a temporary workaround, I’ve applied commit:91f2ae1 (“Test suite: use a VGA graphics adapter, instead of the QXL one”) to feature/stretch.
