Description

A Debian user noted that it would be nice to be able to view the circuits from the Tor daemon
run by the Tor Browser in addition to the system Tor daemon.

See Debian bug #817087 (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=817087).

History

#1 Updated by intrigeri 2016-03-13 11:23:11

  • Subject changed from Onion Circuits should support multiple Tor damon instances to Onion Circuits should support multiple Tor daemon instances
  • Status changed from New to Confirmed
  • Priority changed from Normal to Low

(I’m assuming we would accept a good patch that implements that if it doesn’t add too much complexity and maintenance burden.)

#2 Updated by alant 2016-04-01 16:55:32

  • Type of work changed from Code to User interface design

I doubt that viewing multiple Tor daemons in the same Onion Circuits window would result in a clear user experience, but I’d be happy to be proven wrong by a good UX design.

Seems like we lack UX work for this, but as this is very low prio, I don’t think we’ll ever get to the point of implementing it. If there are volunteers to propose a design, that would be greatly appreciated.
