Description

  • When I activate “Screen Reader”
  • And click on the Tor Status extension
  • And choose “Open Onion Circuits”
  • And click on any circuit
  • Then Orca doesn’t read any information about the circuit

If I do

sudo journalctl | grep onioncircuits

I get

amnesia onioncircuits.desktop[28693]: (onioncircuits:28701): WARNING :
Couldn’t register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply.
Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply,
the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout
expired, or the network connection was broken.

FTR, all software we run as a dedicated user (for security reasons) is affected by this same problem, for the same reason.

Once Onion Circuits go through a control port filter, we can run it as the amnesia user, and this problem disappears.
