Description

Since 2.5 (available in jessie-backports), QEMU Guest Agent offers ways to execute commands inside the guest. There are some drawbacks that may make the implementation non trivial, but still, switching to using that would seem to be a great improvement over having to maintain our own agent the way we’ve been doing for years.

Since 0.15.0 the agent also allows one to read/write files from/to the guest.
