Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start Tails
  2. Visit https://tails.boum.org/install/download/
  3. Install DAVE
  4. Loose Wi-Fi connection
  5. Reestablish Wi-Fi connection
  6. Result: DAVE doesn’t start again or fail, Expected: failed download
  7. Reload the page
  8. Result: bank download section (2’36 in the video), Expected: “Use extension”
  9. Disable DAVE
  10. Enable DAVE
  11. Reload the page
  12. Result: “Use extension” is back

Yes, confirmed it’s a regression due to the live patch work-around for issue Feature #10686. Trying to come up with something stabler, and possibly reusable also as a starting point for upstream fix by tomorrow.
