Description

I see that we have a section on Claws Mail in https://tails.boum.org/contribute/design#index41h3. We should do something about it and ideally write something there about Icedove instead.

Copied from Feature #7064: It would be great if the design doc made it clear what actual problem our patches are trying to solve.

I’m not sure this work was budgeted as part of the return to Icedove, but this should be done somehow by someone. Assigning this ticket to u, not to do the work, but to sort this out. Should this be a blocker of the deliverable?

I completely agree.

I could provide a draft though. Looking for somebody to write or review this.

I do not think that that’s a blocker for the deliverably tbh.

I haven’t look at your draft but while working on Feature #10447, I’ll dump info here:

  • blueprint/Return_of_Icedove63.mdwn should maybe be removed.
  • git grep -i claws contribute

I see that contribute/design/stream_isolation.mdwn still points to the non-existing config/chroot_local-includes/usr/local/bin/torified-claws-mail. Other than that git grep claws looks good!
