i’ll look at the various bannerformats (flyeralarm maybe) in the next view days and then try to tinker some layout based on https://tails.boum.org/contribute/how/promote/material/stickers/tails-sticker-alternate.svg

  • Status changed from New to Confirmed
  • Target version set to Tails_1.8

Banners are usually flat rectangles, so I’d go for this version of the logo:

https://tails.boum.org/contribute/how/promote/material/logo/tails-logo-flat-inverted.png

(which is the top-left option in the sticker designs you pointed to).

At 32C3 for example, this might be useful either hanging from or placed on a wall behind a table. Tables for two people are usually 120-150 cm wide and 70-75 cm tall. Maybe you can propose some size with this particular usecase in mind.

I put this as a deliverable for Tails 1.8 (December 15) which is a little bit before 32C3, if that’s ok with you.

oke, so, at flyeralarm, the planes are getting bigger in 50cm steps, so the closest would be a 100x50cm plane (http://www.flyeralarm.com/sheets/en/plane_50x100_q.pdf). i’ve attached a scribus created pdf, which should comply with the flyeralarm specifications. i think i’ll just order one of these in the next few days and see how it looks, its affordable ;)

  • 50x100 sounds good for a banner for a table like at 32C3.
  • Your PDF is not vectorial anymore, it’s pixelated. Is that what flyeralarm is asking for?
  • What’s the support material for this? Is is foldable? Cloth or plastic?
  • How much is it? If you want Tails to pay for this I’d like to have a price before ordering.

i’m not sure, but thats how i did it with some stickers and it worked (there are some howtos saying one should export the graphic as 300dpi png and import into scribus and make the pdf with scribus)

500gsm PVC matt or 300gsm mesh fabric, i’d choose the PVC version. both PVC and mesh fabric are 26,66 € for one piece. i would pay that myself and donate the product ;)

Ok, if they want a 300dpi image then your file is good.
