Description

We (and TBB) have been applying a custom patch to Tor for a while due to https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/15482. Tor 0.2.7.3-rc brings a new option (0.2.7.3-rc) that’s meant to allow us to drop that patch.

Seems to work:

  • I refreshed Tails’ homepage every 5 minutes for half an hour, and the same circuit was used every time, as expected. Then I waited an additional 15 minutes and got a new circuit, also as expected.
  • I did an anti-test by disabling KeepAliveIsolateSOCKSAuth. Indeed, the circuit was only reused in my first rety; the circuit changed after ten minutes, as expected.

So, yeah, it looks good.
