Description

We should add other options to the boot options section on our documentation, at

https://tails.boum.org/doc/first_steps/startup_options/#boot_menu

Currently, only I2P boot option is mentioned.

We could add

  • i915.modeset=0
  • rootpw=pass

(taken from https://tails.boum.org/support/known_issues/#switchable_graphics )

What do you think? and
Do you suggest any other?

These are only useful for debugging, and the 2nd one is very dangerous, so keeping them on a debugging-specific page feels better to me: at least the second one must never be used during normal operation.

Agreed.

So yeah, this list only have one item but I guess that’s they way it is until we find boot menu options that are relevant outside of debbuging and are not dangerous.
