We might want to discuss soonish what kind of nondiscriminatory language we want to use for translations, if any.

“How to add a new language” should have a paragraph about this (a small social contract for translators).

Please note that it solely addresses gender issues in language, e.g. not racist problems etc.
IMHO gender isssues in language are the most prevalent ones, but we should also add a paragrapgh that addresses other forms of discrimination (e.g. racial) via language.

hm, should this only be for translations or should it also be about the English documentation? I’m asking because the title sounds like it was about language in general, but the description still mentions translations. I’d be in favor of making the mini-social contract also about English- i think it is also fits to English language. In that case this would also affect the technical writers…
(i only skimmed through the text in the pad, i think its good- I’ll try to take a deeper look soon)
