Have you tried unar?

It is shipped with Tails and does what you need.

Please reopen the ticket if not.

In the default app I just get an empty folder. Can you tell me how use unrar in Tails? This tool could be more easily accessed in Tails. This type of file (.rar) is very commonly used.Thx! =]

On current Tails, you need to use unar (not unrar!) on the command-line.
On Tails 2.0, the graphical archive manager will transparently use unar.
IMO it’s too late to bother backporting this to current Tails.

I have a question, my ISP can see the files I downloaded through the TOR browser or get the hash of these files? My downloads reach high speeds and do not seem to go through the TOR network.

The full fix (graphical support) is in Jessie, marking as such.
